My recount of our school picnic at Eastern Beach
Our Picnic at Eastern Beach
On Monday 4th March all my school went to Eastern Beach for a picnic. It was cloudy and hot and cold because the wind was blowing. I went in the bus with my friends and my teacher.
I went in a kayak. I had lots of fun. I was a little bit scared because I have not been there before. I was swimming lots to keep warm. I played with a ball in the water and my friends splashed me. I had lots of fun swimming. After that I played cricket with my friends and we made lots of noise. We had fun playing that game.
When the day finished we went back to school on the bus. I was tired because I was running and swimming a lot. We all had a fun day at Eastern Beach.

Who feels scared of really big things, happy when I’m with my friends and shy when I meet new people
Who is proud of coming 3rd place in school cross country
Who admires my mum for looking after me and my brothers
Who fears being alone in the dark
Who would like to meet the All Blacks,
Who lives in Panmure
